Kicking Off Your Travel To Cyberjaya Via MRT Putrajaya Line: A Youth's Experience!
I’ve been staying in Cyberjaya since early 2014 and am a big believer in the development of Malaysia’s tech hub and I still am, despite hearing some nasty comments from people who never step in or never stay for more than a week in Cyberjaya. With the recent opening of the Putrajaya Line by Prasarana, you can now drop by Cyberjaya via MRT.
On the launch day, I took a chance to be one of the first few (in Cyberjaya) to travel via MRT. Initially, I wanted to start my journey from Cyberjaya to KL via MRT, but due to some reasons, I only can ride it for the first time during my trip back to Cyberjaya.
I started my adventure at Tun Razak Exchange station right in the heart of the financial district of Kuala Lumpur. My first time there, I was in awe of the amazing night view. Skyscrapers pierce the dark skies illuminating Kuala Lumpur with its LED screens.
The trip was free as they are doing a promotion til the end of March. I was lucky because I manage to avoid rush hour. They say that Tun Razak Exchange (the building) is connected to Tun Razak Exchange (the station) via an underground tunnel (similar to KLCC). I’m pretty sure that this is a battlefield from 5 pm-8 pm.
Generally, the station looks new and feels new. I have no bad comment as it looks similar to most rail/carriage stations that I’ve been to. In total, there is 41 station between KWASA Damansara and Putrajaya Sentral. It will take me about 35 minutes to arrive at Cyberjaya from Tun Razak Exchange. There are two stations available, Cyberjaya Utara (39), right next to Skypark Apartment and Cyberjaya City Centre (40), across the road from Lim Kok Wing University.
You know that it’s a new station with new sets of trains when you first step inside it. My trip was pleasant. When I step out of my destination (Cyberjaya City Centre), I feel happy. Finally, it's convenient to travel to KL from Cyberjaya! Many could benefit from this MRT. From cutting travel costs to creating new economic opportunities, I hope the community could fully utilize the MRT responsibly.
